I started my journey with Elite Pubs on the 4th of November last year (2024) at The Farm House in West Malling, joining the team as a Kitchen Assistant.
From the very beginning, I was welcomed into a supportive and dynamic environment that encouraged growth and learning. With a strong passion for cooking and a desire to build a career in the hospitality industry, I quickly found Elite to be the perfect place to develop. The clear structure of the personal development plan and the hands-on support from the team helped me progress both professionally and personally.
Today, I’m proud to hold the position of Chef de Partie, and I’m excited for what lies ahead. One of my favourite aspects of the job is working with seasonal ingredients, Autumn is particularly inspiring with its rich, earthy flavours.
What sets Elite Pubs apart is the genuine investment they make in their people, offering real opportunities for advancement while maintaining a family-friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Of all the venues, The Farm House remains my favourite, not just because it’s where my journey began, but because of the incredible team and guests I get to work with every day.
Looking ahead, my goal is to continue growing within Elite Pubs, eventually moving into a Sous Chef role and beyond. For anyone considering this path, my advice is simple: stay curious, work hard, and never stop learning. The opportunities are here, you just have to take them.
