Last but certainly not least in our ‘meet the team’ series is our amazing vineyard assistant, Steve. You’ll find Steve in and around the vines, tending to their every need and completing many jobs around the vineyard.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF WORKING IN THE INDUSTRY?
My favourite part of working at the vineyard in working in nature. I like to be outside in the elements, although I definitely prefer it when it’s not raining! Working on the vineyard means I’m learning something new every day and adapting to different situations.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU WITHIN YOUR ROLE?
The way things change each and every day, year on year means we’re constantly growing and adapting.
EVERY MONTH IS BUSY FOR THE TEAM BUT WHAT IS THE BEST MONTH FOR YOU?
My favourite time of year is September. This is when we really start to get ready for harvest time and we can see the full growth on the vines from last year. It gets exciting to see what our harvest crop may look like.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE WINE?
I love a cabaret sauvignon! I’m excited to try the wines we’re releasing next year!
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO IN 2025?
I would say I’m most looking forward to seeing how the land changes. We work really hard to make sure every space is lovely to look at but also holds a purpose on the vineyard as bio-diversity is extremely important to us. The potential to plant more trees, wildflowers and even extend the vineyard itself potentially.
