The first term is done and it’s time to keep the little ones busy this October half-term. Here are some of our top picks for this autumn holiday.

Why not start by exploring the castle grounds of Hever Castle on their spooky Halloween trail, you will need to put your detective cap on to complete the Halloween-themed word puzzles whilst encountering some Halloween characters. Taking place from October 26th and November 3rd be sure to check it out!

Once you have worked up an appetite with your detective skills be sure to head to our very own The Pheasant Plucker which is only a 15-minute drive away.

Join us at The Wishful Thinker to meet Belle on Sunday 27th October from 10.30am!

Alongside a meet & greet and photo opportunities with the classic princess, there will be plenty of party games, sing-alongs, dance challenges and so many more activities.

If you are feeling more adventurous head down to Leeds Castle from October 19th to November 9th for the Sundown Adventures at GoApe. Expect beautiful neon lights shining through the forest and navigating through the treetops on high ropes and zip lines in the darkness. Be sure to fill tummy’s at either The Potting Shed or The Wishful Thinker which are both only a short drive away, before flying high in the sky.

From October 26th to November 3rd the Rare Breeds Centre have a day full of activities for you and the little ones, from Pirate Ghost Stories to face painting and a spooky trail to get your heart pumping. Not only this but be sure to dress up in your best Halloween costumes and enter the fancy dress competition.

Join Tabby the Tonbridge Witch at Tonbridge Old Fire Station from October 25th to November 2nd and become a witch assistant to make some magic! Be sure to book tickets. There is also the opportunity to take part in the Pumpkin Patch Parade, come dressed in your best ghoulish outfits and take advantage of the photo opportunities.
