Beyond the plate

Making a difference

As so much of our produce comes from the earth, it’s only right that we give back what we can.

As well as sourcing 85% of our food within a 25 mile radius of an Elite Pub, we also look beyond the plate to be eco-aware. Here are just some of the ways our pubs look out for the planet:

1. We're proud members of Produced in Kent

Produced In Kent are a member organisation that champion local and sustainable food and drink, bringing together over 300 Kentish growers, producers and retailers. With local produce at the heart of what we do here at Elite Pubs, we value the great relationships we have with our local suppliers. Find out more about our Kent-based suppliers here.

2. We have electric car charging points

Almost all of our pubs have electric charging points in our car parks. So if you’re doing your bit for the environment, the least we can do is help you out!

3. Our eco-homes are powered by solar panels

Our bedrooms at The Potting Shed are fully powered by solar panels. Using a clean, green, renewable source of energy contributes towards making our bedrooms more eco-friendly and sustainable.

4. We use 100% recycled materials

All of the menus, posters and printed materials that you see around our pubs are printed on 100% recycled paper. Even our napkins are made from 100% recycled materials!

5. Our water is ethically-produced

Our bottled water supplier Belu provide all of our pubs and cocktail bars with ethically-produced water. 100% of their profits go directly to WaterAid which means when you buy bottled water in our pubs, you’re helping to bring clean drinking water to developing countries. Belu also manage to do all of this whilst keeping their carbon footprint to a minimum.
