Truly great pubs are few and far between but family-friendly great pubs are a special treat.
We know it can be difficult with little ones to head to the pub for a yummy meal and keep them entertained long enough for you to enjoy at least one of your favourite cocktails. We’ve put together a list of our pubs that are totally family-friendly and you can relax knowing the kids are having as much fun as you!

The Lazy Fox, Mark Cross
Not only does The Lazy Fox have arguably the best view of the Elite Pubs group, it’s great for kids too!
We’ve got a large kids play area with climbing frame in an area away from the hubbub of the outside tables but in clear view for parents! All we ask is that you do keep an eye on your little ones as they play!
Our kids menu also has plenty of yummy options from burgers to pizzas to cheeky desserts.
The Wishful Thinker, Lenham
The newest addition to our fleet, The Wishful Thinker was designed with children in mind!
Along with a play area complete with rock climbing and slide in the garden, the pub boasts a delicious menu for mini humans PLUS we’ve got family rooms. Stay with us with the kids and share a family room with a sofa bed or travel cot for really little ones.
We also often have a face painter along with events in the garden, the perfect treat for the children!
The Gun, Heathfield
The Gun, Heathfield
The Gun in Heathfield is set in rolling countryside hills and although a little off the beaten track, well worth the journey!
Along with all of our pubs, The Gun has a jam-packed full of fun kids pack. It includes stickers, puzzles, crayons and games to keep the tots entertained during your meal – totally free of course!
Our outside children’s area is perfect for burning off some energy in the warmer months plus, our garden backs on to fields where often you can see animals such as horses, sheep and cows!
The Vineyard, Lamberhurst
The Vineyard is a great place to take the kids with large outdoor patio and grass area for them to play to their hearts content. Playground for them to work up a hunger for a smashing kids menu inc a mini roast on a Sunday!
The real winner at The Vineyard is our table tennis area! Fun for all the family, kids can hit some balls in the sunshine in full view of the adults!
Our coach houses are family-friendly too with pull out sofa beds downstairs so the kids can feel grown-up and have a sleepover!

The Poacher and Partridge, Tonbridge
The Poacher and Partridge has a garden of dreams, one of our most popular in fact. With fields for miles behind the pub, it’s a little slice of heaven.
Our large children’s playing area is perfect for little feet to stomp and we have a large grass area away from other tables for games than involved running like a mad thing!
Our kids pack comes in handy when it’s time for bums on seats.
