It’s no secret we’re positively dog mad at Elite Pubs. We’ve recently set up perhaps our most exciting collaboration yet with J&B’s Barkery, a homemade organic dog treat company based in Sittingbourne, Kent.
We love to see so many of you bringing your furry friends into the pubs and we wanted to be haven for the hounds with our new doggy delis (a small portion of sausage, ham and veg) as well as offering organic treats with no nasties. We’re proud to be a dog friendly pub in Kent and Sussex who work with local businesses and J&B’s Barkery was the perfect fit!
We had a chat with the CEO and founder of J&B’s, Sophie, to talk more about inspo for the brand, top selling products and exciting news coming soon!

J&B’s Barkery specialise in hand baked, artisan dog treats. We hand bake all of our biscuit treats from our dedicated bakery in Sittingbourne. All of our treats are baked using fresh and natural ingredients. We pride ourselves on not using any nasties or preservatives.

The idea from J&B’s Barkery actually came from a Christmas present from my sister-in-law, which was bake our own dog treats kit. After baking the treats, I started to research into what other treats I could bake for my dog, Betsy. The idea slowly snowballed into what is J&B’s Barkery is today. We launched in October 2020, with a simple online shop. We soon grew a customer base, most of which still order from us today.
We now also attend some of the biggest Country Shows in the U.K. and travel all around the South East selling our dog treats.
A little about our name… Betsy, who is my dog is the “B” to J&B’s Barkery. Jessie is the “J” who is Betsy’s sister. The girls were rescued by myself and my friend from a Kill Shelter in Romania back in December 2019. They both definitely live a brilliant life now, being chief taste testers.

My favourite product to make is definitely Pawty Rings. They’re bright, colourful and always go down well with the doggos.

Our most successful product are Cheesy Bites. They weren’t part of our original flavours, we launched them in September 2021 and since then, they’ve been a massive hit. They’re one of our best sellers, as dogs just love cheese!

J&B’s Barkery is continuing to grow and is going from strength to strength. We hope to constantly evolve and introduce new and exciting products. We’d love to eventually upgrade and move into bigger premises. We’d also love to begin to hire some staff to help with the running of the Barkery.

We always have something in the pipeline. At the moment we’re beginning to think about the C word. I know it’s only July, but Christmas is right around the corner for us. We’re hoping to release a lot of new products for the festive period. This will include new treats and some accessories. All will be revealed soon.
