Tonbridge is a market town in Kent. Just one hour from London, Tonbridge is an easy commute to the city but still gives glorious countryside, rolling fields and farms, great places to eat and drink, and some fascinating history!
Here are our top 5 things to do in Tonbridge…
1. The Poacher & Partridge, Tudeley
The Poacher & Partridge is one of our most successful pubs. Situated in the countryside of Tudeley, The Poacher offers beautiful walks nearby plus a large outside terrace and garden area to bask in the summer sun. We often have live music at the Poacher so please do enquire if you’re booking a table!
2. Tonbridge Castle
Not only is Tonbridge Castle a super cool place to learn about local history for adults and kids alike. The grounds are used for many different events such as live music and concerts, food festivals, dog shows, markets and more!
3. Haysden Country Park
Haysden Country Park is great for walking the doggo or taking the kids to see the ducks. A huge lake plus a café is certainly a good reason to get those steps in. It’s also within walking distance from the High Street so you can do a longer loop if you wish!
4. E.M Forster Theatre
Theatre fans, we got you! The E. M. Forster Theatre, situated in the grounds of Tonbridge School, hosts a diverse range of artistic events. The modern auditorium seats 370 people in comfort, with excellent panoramic views throughout and very good disabled access. Also situated within the complex is a smaller Studio Theatre.
5. All Saints Church, Tudeley
Truly a sight to behold, the All Saints Church in Tudeley is the only Church in the world that has all its windows in stained glass designed by Marc Chagall.
Any art fans will love this Church!
